This AppleScript-based solution can be used to automatically dial the phone using your computer's modem from within a variety of applications.
PLEASE NOTE: Since AppleScript cannot dial the phone alone, the application ABDialer, available from Macron Software, is required for this solution to function. Automated Workflows, LLC does not sell licenses for or accept support inquiries regarding ABDialer. To order ABDialer or inquire about ABDialer support, please contact Macron Software.

This solution will use ABDialer to automatically dial the phone number of a selected contact in Mac OS X’s Address Book application.

| Dial Phone From Anywhere |
|
|
|
This solution will use ABDialer to automatically dial a phone number that has been copied to the clipboard.

| Dial Phone From FileMaker |
|
|
|
This solution will use ABDialer to automatically dial a phone number in a specified field in the current record of an opened FileMaker Pro database. A sample FileMaker Pro 7 database is included.

|

|
This solution will use ABDialer to automatically dial the phone number of a selected cell in Microsoft Excel.

System Requirements
The following software is required for this solution to function properly:
- Mac OS 10.2.6 or higher
- ABDialer 1.x - 2.x*
- Address Book**
- FileMaker Pro version 5.5 - 7.02***
- Microsoft Excel version X or 2004****
